Sirsasana -Headstand Yoga Pose

A number of people are apprehensive and disinterested to do Sirsasana because of its headstand position and requires some sort of balance. Sirsasana or the head stand pose is the most important among inverted asanas. In Sanskrit the word ‘sirsha’ means ‘head’ and ‘asana’ means pose.  It means balancing your body on your head with your feet pointing upwards.

Like all inverted asanas, Sirsasana reverses the pressure of gravity on the organs helping with many health conditions. Headstand Yoga pose is known as king of all asanas due to its multiple health benefits. It speeds up the blood circulation and ensures that brain receives sufficient well oxygenated blood.
